Well, I totally trashed my new Macbook Pro and it’s sitting in my local Apple Store as I write this blog post. I don’t have FTP access to my site’s server so I’m blogging off my iPod Touch with the WordPress app in the App Store. I trashed my EFI bootloader for OS X because I experimented a little too much with my Linux partition and blew my whole system to hell. So now I’m stuck with an old Ubuntu machine and my iPod. Belive me, I love the touchscreen QWERTY keyboard, but it wasn’t made for blogging. Now my fingers are tired and so am I. So alas, RIP to my OS X files and hello to a new installment of OS X, let’s see what the future holds for you.

You can recover your files from the hard drive. There are a few ways to do it – if you can’t boot it up in “firewire” mode (hold the F key while the system powers up), then you can have the drive recovered and it’s contents dumped to DVD or something.
It’s happened to me before! Good luck, etc.
